The Language and Communication Consultancy Centre (LCCC) was founded by the Administration Board Decision of Ovidius University of Constanța (OUC) no. 914 of 09.09.2015, approved by the Senate of OUC no. 900 of 24.09. 2015.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Language and Communication Consultancy Centre is to frame, implement and monitor the policies of the University in the field of international relations, with a close focus on:
- improving the knowledge of and competence in foreign languages and of Romanian language as a foreign language;
- establishing international partnerships and affiliations with similar foreign language establishments and with international bodies providing testing and certification of language competence, with a view to implementing a standardized teaching and testing system for language skills in line with EU objectives.

ACTIVITIES AND LANGUAGE SERVICES
The Language and Communication Consultancy Centre provides the following type of activities and language services:
a. Courses:
- Foreign languages courses on six study levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2)
- Language courses in sectorial areas
- Training courses as preparation for international tests (Cambridge, IELTS. APTIS, TOEFL, ECL, DALF, DELE, CELI, etc.)
- Romanian language courses as a foreign language on six levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2)
- Language courses for private companies and public institutions, which have budgets dedicated to staff training
b. International standardized tests based on which certificates of specific language skills (Cambridge, IELTS. APTIS, TOEFL, ECL, DALF, DELE, CELI, etc.) are issued.
c. Other linguistic services:
- Certified translation services
- Interpreting services
- Language consultancy services for foreign languages (English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish, Spanish, Modern Greek, etc.) and Romanian as a foreign language
EVENTS
The Language and Communication Consultancy Centre of Ovidius University of Constanța, working in partnership with the British Council and Cambridge English Language Assessment and with support from the Faculty of Letters, organized the training seminar "Preparing Students for IELTS" on November 14, 2015.
