National Electronic Access to Scientific Literature to Support the Research and Education System in Romania ANELIS PLUS 2020 Project co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Competitiveness Operational Programme 2014-2020

The Association of Universities, Research and Development Institutes and Central University Libraries in Romania - ANELIS PLUS, as beneficiary, has signed with the Ministry of Research and Innovation, as Intermediary Body, on behalf of and for the Ministry of European Funds, as Managing Authority for the Competitiveness Operational Programme (POC), the funding contract for the project with SMIS code 102839.

The objective of the project is to increase Romania's RDI capacity by providing researchers with access to scientific publications and international databases. This will lead to an increase in the degree of involvement of the Romanian research environment in specialised international research networks, a major step for the future development of science and technology.

The main results of the project will be:

• Develop a national depository library of scientific documents by acquiring archives of scientific journals and e-books in electronic format to create the framework for comprehensive documentation;
• Ensuring the access of the scientific community in Romania to electronic scientific resources (databases/platforms of full-text scientific journals and bibliographic and bibliometric databases), in order to support the research, innovation and stimulation of scientific production at national level.
